Restaurant Review World

Now that Halloween is over, and there has actually been a rainy day or two in LA, I am getting very excited for Thanksgiving.  Just today I realized how close it is, and started digging through my recipe files to remind myself what I did last year.  However, when I got to the Holiday section of my All Clad recipe book, I found out that I had only written down two recipes - and they’re the two easiest! (Gravy and Cranberry Sauce)  I was getting very concerned, when the husband reminded me that I had written about the whole grand event last year on this blog.  Hoping that, in doing so, I had also written out the ingredients and timing of the whole thing, I revisited my Thanksgiving 2007 post.

Lo and behold, I had documented everything down to the last detail, including how far in advance I had ordered my turkey!  So, now I have one more thing to be thankful for this year: this blog and my desire to share my Thanksgiving with anyone who is interested.

Best of all, I had even written down what I would do differently, including brining the turkey overnight and covering it with foil completely for the first couple of hours of cooking.  I will have a couple of other tweeks that I plan to try out, as well.  I’ll let you know how it all turns out in a few weeks.
